From Timothy: This album was written shortly before, during and after a brief relationship over the summer of 2020. Music is the way I process things, and I find I use my solo music specifically to mark different chapters in my life, as a sort of record of what I’m going through, what I’m feeling at the time and how I grow from these experiences. I would suppose that’s the archivist in me. This record aims to capture aspects of our relationship and what being together felt like. It also aims to capture how powerful my memories of the other person are. I tried to put into the music the sound of our conversations, the sounds of the music we shared together, the sounds of where we went together, the sound of what she looked like to me and the sounds of the emotions I felt, both with and without her. This record is intrinsically tied to our shared history, and I would hope that it does justice to that very shared history.
